On September 1, 2019, a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldier was found dead in a bush in Lamu County, sparking an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
According to sources, the soldier was spotted running by the roadside while removing his KDF attire and boots before his death.
Hindi MCA Anab Hajj confirmed the incident, stating that the deceased had hung his pants on a tree in the bush where his body was found.
The body of the deceased was taken by his fellow KDF soldiers for an autopsy before being transferred to his home for burial.
