According to Ruto, devolution has transformed the country, and it is essential for all leaders to work together to address the county government revenue crisis.
He urged the National Assembly and the Senate to find an urgent solution to the crisis, which has led to threats from county governors to shut down counties unless their demands are met.
Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, who accompanied Ruto on the visit, also called on leaders to support the Deputy President's development track record and to stop engaging in ethnicity politics.
Instead, she urged leaders to focus on developing the country and working together to address the challenges facing the nation.
