On August 31, 2019, Carl Tundo, the defending champion, secured his first win of the season at the KCB Nanyuki Rally, moving to second position on the Kenya National Rally Championship table.
Tundo, navigated by Tim Jessop in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo10, led the rally from start to finish, showcasing his prowess on long stages.
He beat Baldev Chager by a 3-second margin in the Loldaiga Hills stage and also outpaced Chager in the Ndovu stage by 32 seconds.
Chager, driving a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo10, settled for second position, clinging onto the summit of the KNRC log.
African Champion Manvir Baryan finished third in a Skoda Fabia R5, which struggled to navigate through the long wet Loldaiga stage.
The event claimed several drivers, including Onkar Rai and McRae Kimathi.
