On August 26, 2019, Posta Rangers made a strong start to their Kenyan Premier League season with a 2-1 win over Sofapaka at Narok Stadium.
Coached by Divaldo Alves, a Portuguese-Angolan tactician, Posta Rangers showed resilience and determination in their comeback victory.
‘That’s a great performance from the boys. We conceded in the first half, but the boys didn’t give up, they showed resilience and had a winning mentality in the second half. This victory has given us a lot of confidence heading into the next match,’ Rangers coach Sammy Pamzo Omollo said in an interview.
Posta Rangers’ victory was preceded by a 2-2 draw between Kariobangi Sharks and Western Stima at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
Meanwhile, Gor Mahia will begin their title defense against Tusker in Kisumu on August 31, 2019, at 4:15 pm.
