This archive report was first published on 31 August 2019.

On August 21, 2017, a man named Ben sent his friend Liz a picture of his father in the hospital, with a name and date tag visible on the hand. The date read 21/08/2017, two years ago.

Liz was immediately suspicious and called Ben back, accusing him of lying and trying to scam her out of money.

Ben denied the allegations, claiming that his sister had sent him the pictures and that she was illiterate, which is why she didn't notice the date.

However, Liz was not convinced and continued to press Ben for the truth. She pointed out that he had previously told her that he was an only child, and now he was claiming to have a sister.

Ben's excuses only made Liz more suspicious, and she eventually hung up on him. A few seconds later, Ben sent her a text message, saying that he had been left with no choice but to ask other women for help, including Fatma.

Liz was not surprised by this revelation and replied that Fatma would not give him the money he was asking for.

Ben's response was to say that Fatma would sleep with him if he asked her to, and he added a sad face emoji to the message.

Liz was appalled by Ben's behavior and deleted the entire chat. She then sent a message to Fatma, telling her about the scam and asking for her help.
