Total Kenya's Half Year Net Sales Surge 48% to Ksh 65 Billion

On August 31, 2019, Total Kenya released its half-year results for the year 2019, showcasing a significant boost in net sales.

The company's net sales skyrocketed by 48% to Ksh 65.21 billion, a remarkable increase from the previous period.

Notably, gross profit marginally increased by 1.6% from Ksh 4.08 billion to Ksh 4.14 billion.

Operating expenses, however, rose by 1.78% from Ksh 2.98 billion to Ksh 3.03 billion.

Finance income stood at Ksh 127.63 million, a 1.4% increase from the previous year, attributed to better working capital management.

The profit before tax was reported to be Ksh 1.67 billion, a 3.4% increase from the previous period.

Consequently, the profit after tax for the period was KSh 1.11 billion, a 7% increase from the previous period, driven by the positive contribution from increased sales, diversified revenues, and prudent management of operating expenses.

As part of its ongoing investment strategy, Total Kenya continues to expand its convenient stores, such as Bonjour shops, Total Quartz Auto service centers, and partnerships with third parties in the provision of its services.
