A private school in Nairobi has caused a stir with its hefty term fee, leaving many parents questioning the affordability of private education.

According to a letter dated July 1, 2019, parents and guardians of Peponi House Preparatory School are required to pay a termly fee of Sh632,285 for the 2019-2020 academic year.

Additionally, parents are expected to pay Sh21,000 for the sports club and Sh11,000 for the hiring of musical instruments.

While some parents have expressed their shock and outrage over the fee, others have defended the school, calling it 'very affordable'.
