Kenya's U15 national team concluded their CECAFA Championships campaign with a 4-0 loss to Uganda in the final match, held at the Asmara Stadium in Eritrea on Friday, August 23, 2019.

The Junior Stars' campaign ended on a disappointing note, despite earlier successes in the tournament. Abasi Kyeyune scored a brace, while Devis Ogwal and Travis Mutyaba each scored a goal, securing Uganda's victory.

Kenya had earlier advanced to the final by defeating Rwanda 4-2 in a penalty shootout, after the match ended 1-1 in regular time. The team had also won three matches against Somalia (3-1), Sudan (4-0), and Eritrea (2-1), and drawn one against Burundi (1-1) in Group A, played between August 16 and 22, 2019.

The team is set to return to Kenya on Saturday evening and will head back to their residence, the FKF Center of Excellence, where they are on a homeschooling program.
