Western Stima took the lead in the 15th minute when Kennedy Owino headed in a cross from Erastus Mwaniki. However, Eric Kapaito, the 2018 Most Valuable Player, equalized for Sharks in the 28th minute after a goalmouth melee.
Stima had a chance to retake the lead in the 33rd minute, but Kevin Monyi's overhead kick from inside the box went wide.
