On August 30, 2019, Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) announced the departure of its CEO and Managing Director, Jonny Andersen.

According to a statement issued by KAA, Andersen had been at the helm since 2016 and had opted out of his contract, which was set to expire on November 21, 2019.

The recruitment process for a new CEO/Managing Director has already begun, as KAA is responsible for managing and operating all airports in Kenya and specific airstrips.

Andrew's tenure at KAA brought a wealth of knowledge to the aviation industry, and his departure leaves a significant vacancy.
