On August 30, 2019, the DCI took action in the ongoing Wendy Waeni drama, calling for the arrest of her manager, Joe Mwangi.
Joe Mwangi had previously been accused of embezzling funds meant for Wendy Waeni, with her mother, Magdalene Mbele, alleging that he had received Ksh. 140,000 from Raila Odinga and only gave her Ksh. 30,000.
According to the DCI's Twitter account, Joe Mwangi is wanted in connection with the forgery of a letter threatening Magdalene Mbele with consequences.
The DCI has asked anyone with information to report to the Nairobi Area office.
