Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) Managing Director/CEO Jonny Andersen has departed the organization, effective September 30, 2019, as his contract was not renewed.

Jonny Andersen joined KAA from Avinor AS, a state-owned firm that manages airports in Norway, in November 2016.

During his tenure, Andersen brought industry knowledge and consensus-building skills, serving with distinction, according to KAA Chairman Isaac Awuondo.

Awuondo praised Andersen's contributions, stating, 'Jonny brought good knowledge of the industry and an ability to forge consensus among stakeholders. He has served with distinction and I wish him well in his future endeavors.'

Under Andersen's leadership, KAA strengthened its management team, improved operations, and enhanced customer service, laying a strong foundation for future growth.

As the recruitment process for a new CEO/Managing Director has commenced, KAA Chairman Isaac Awuondo expressed the organization's commitment to fulfilling its potential and ensuring stress-free travel for customers.
