Comedian Njugush has had a humbling experience this year, learning a valuable lesson about the true meaning of friendship.

When one becomes famous and wealthy, it's common to have many people claiming to be friends, but Njugush has come to understand that this is a misconception.

A friend is someone with whom you share a strong bond, whereas an acquaintance is someone you know but are not close to.

According to Njugush, one of his biggest lessons this year is that he had fake friends surrounding him.

He shared in an interview with Kiss100 that he had wasted time and ignored his family to take care of people who were not genuinely invested in his life.

'There are a lot of sacrifices that one goes into for those people. You waste your time and you even ignore your family because you need to take care of your friends,' Njugush said.

However, it's worth noting that Njugush has been fortunate to have genuine friends like Abel Mutua, who stood by him during difficult times and continues to be a supportive friend even in his success.

Njugush's story serves as a reminder to be cautious of who we consider friends and to prioritize those who are genuinely invested in our lives.
