Comedian Timothy Kimani, alias Njugush, has clarified his stance on joining politics, following a recent social media post that sparked speculation.

Published on August 30, 2019, the post hinted at Njugush's intention to vie for a seat in the 2022 general elections.

However, speaking to a local publication, Njugush revealed that the post was meant to be satirical, and he has no plans to join politics in the future.

According to Njugush, his biggest regret is voting in the last general elections, citing the misuse of public funds by Kenyan politicians.

"I think our leaders can do better as compared to what they are doing, and I would not want to join them and see them misusing people's resources," Njugush said.

He also spoke about his biggest lesson this year, which is learning to identify fake friends.

"There are a lot of sacrifices that one goes into for those people. You waste your time and you even ignore your family because you need to take care of your friends," Njugush said.
