On August 20, 2019, FIFA appointed a five-member normalisation committee for the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) after the resignation of former EFA President Hany Abou Rida and the entire EFA Board following Egypt's suspension from international football.
On August 28, 2019, the committee, headed by Amr El-Ganainy, announced a series of decisions taken during their meeting on Wednesday.
