On August 30, 2019, Marsabit County government leaders emphasized the importance of sports in community development, urging the youth to participate in various sports activities.

Deputy Governor Solomon Gubo stated that the county government would closely support the sports agenda policy, aiming to transform the youths as promised by Governor Ali Mohamud Mohamed.

The main objective of the policy, according to Gubo, is to promote youth participation in civic and community affairs.

Saku Member of Parliament Ali Raso also encouraged the youth to focus on gainful activities, including sports, to build their community.

Raso expressed concerns about the state of Marsabit Stadium and vowed to raise the matter in Parliament for renovation.

Marsabit County Secretary Malich Boru assured the youths of the government's commitment to supporting their agendas.
