On Wednesday night, Kenyans came together to raise a staggering Sh2.5 million in just one hour for 13-year-old cancer warrior Bianca Wambui, as reported on Citizen TV's JKL show on August 28, 2019.

Wambui, who was diagnosed with breast cancer, shared her heart-wrenching story with the show's host, Jeff Koinange, alongside two other cancer patients.

Despite having undergone a mastectomy, Wambui had not received chemotherapy due to a lack of funds, which her family had managed to raise through a Mpesa Paybill number.

As she tearfully shared her struggles, Kenyans were moved to action, with the Paybill figure hitting 503,500 and eventually surpassing Sh2 million in just an hour.

Twitter users, including @MbukuMichael, @GungaKadzo, @ranijosiscky, @Denzie254, and @ItsBravin, expressed their shock and admiration for the outpouring of support, with many calling for the government to take action to diagnose cancer early and provide better healthcare services.
