On August 29, 2019, the National Council for Law Reporting launched its new strategic plan 2018-2022, aiming to increase public awareness on legal issues and provide easier access to legal information.

Chief Justice David Maraga emphasized the importance of making legal information accessible to the public, stating that it paves the way for the promotion of the rule of law and accelerating justice.

According to the plan, Kenya Law will strive to make legal information available in various forms and through different media, including translating law provisions on their website into Kiswahili.

The improved systems are expected to ease the backlog of cases by providing easy access to law-related information.

Speaking at the launch in Nairobi, Mr. Maraga said, "This strategic plan guarantees accessibility of legal information to the public. This plan is therefore an embodiment of our collective promise to our stakeholders on the service delivery standards that they should expect from Kenya Law."
