Raila Inspects Galana Kulalu Farming Project Amidst Criticisms

On a visit to the Galana Kulalu farming project, Raila Odinga expressed concerns over the project's effectiveness in increasing maize yields.

Despite the project being funded by the government with KSh 7 billion, critics argue that it has not yielded the expected results.

During his visit, Raila met with county governors Amason Kingi and Dhadho Godana of Tana River County.

"Hali hii inabidi taifa kutafuta njia za kisasa za kufanya ukulima ili taifa kupata chakula cha kutosha kulisha watu wake," Raila said.

He emphasized that the project would succeed and that Kenya could feed its people adequately.

However, Raila also called for the government to address the issue of corruption in the project.

"Hata hivyo, kiongozi huyo wa upinzani alitaka suala la ufisadi kwenye miradi ya serikali kukabiliwa vilivyo," a statement from the source read.
