On August 29, 2019, Wycliffe Otieno, a 25-year-old supermarket cashier from Migori, Kenya, made history with Odibets after correctly predicting the outcome of 16 football matches, earning him a massive KSh 682,392.
According to Otieno, he had previously been winning small amounts from different bets before his big breakthrough.
Speaking to the press, Otieno revealed his plans to spend the proceeds, stating that he would build his father a house and invest some in opening a football viewing center.
"I have been winning small amounts from different bets I have been placing. But this time round I won big," Otieno said.
