Kenindia Assurance Limited, Kenya's oldest insurance company, has announced the appointment of Uthup Joseph as Life Insurance General Manager, effective August 2, 2019. This appointment marks a significant milestone in the company's growth strategy.
Uthup Joseph brings a wealth of experience to the role, having spent 28 years at Life Insurance Corporation of India. Most recently, he served as Senior Divisional Manager, overseeing Individual Life Insurance and Pension and Group Schemes.
Commenting on the appointment, Kenindia's Managing Director, Mr. Inderjeet Singh, said: 'Uthup Joseph brings valuable experience as a leader, with his illustrious track record and value system making him an ideal addition to our life insurance business.'
Mr. Singh added: 'Uthup Joseph will be a huge asset to our actuarial and financial risk management practice. We believe that his experience, drive, ideas, and deep industry experience will greatly benefit our client offerings.'

Under Uthup Joseph's leadership, Kenindia Assurance aims to drive growth through customer-based programs for the life insurance business. The company has already shown significant progress, increasing its market share of the life insurance segment in the country from 4% to 6.4% overall, from 2010 to date.
