On August 29, 2019, a church in Kericho suspended a radio host after he criticized the pastor's behavior on air.
The host, who was a member of the church, had been accused of promoting immorality by discussing taboo topics on his radio show.
According to reports, the pastor had ordered the host to stop discussing such topics, but he refused, saying that many people knew he was a member of the church.
The host was quoted as saying, "Kila mtu anajua wewe ni kondoo wangu na hivyo basi unaniharibia sifa unaposikikika hewani ukitaka kuchezewa nyimbo zinazoenda kinyume na wokovu. Unanipunguzia washiriki kwa kuchangamkia mambo hayo,"
The pastor had also accused the host of being a bad influence on the church's members and had threatened to take action against him.
