On August 28, 2019, Britania Foods Limited made a significant change in its leadership, sacking CEO Robert Kagundah in a letter addressed to all staff. This move comes as the company seeks to enhance its governance environment and management capability.

According to sources, Ahsan Manji will take over as the interim Executive Director, with overall management responsibility for the company's affairs and operations. Julius Kiptoo will assume the role of acting General Manager.

Under Kagundah's leadership, Britania Foods Ltd had become embroiled in corruption scandals, with allegations of irregular contract awards and favoritism. In one instance, Kagundah awarded a catering and cake supply contract to CIVA cakes, owned by his 'girlfriend', a married woman.

Staff at Britania Foods Limited had previously accused the top management of irregularly running the company, which was acquired by Catalyst Principal Partners in 2017.
