On August 28, 2019, Kenya's national women's volleyball team, Malkia Strikers, made history by storming the final of the African Games in Rabat, Morocco.

With a convincing performance, the team defeated Nigeria in straight sets of 25-21, 25-16, 25-11 in a one-sided semi-final match.

Kenya's dominance was evident from the start, with Mercy Moin, Janet Wacu, Aggrippina Kundu, and Noel Murambi leading the charge.

As the defending champions of the tournament, Kenya will face either Cameroon or Egypt in the final, seeking to retain their title.

Notably, Malkia Strikers had previously won the tournament in 2015, defeating Cameroon in the final in Brazzaville.
