Sleaford Rangers FC, a football club in England, has lost its manager, Jim Pacey, in a shocking incident.
According to reports, Pacey was in high spirits just minutes after his team secured a 3-2 win over Brigg Town Reserves on August 24, 2019.
However, his life was cut short when he collapsed and died while on his way to the dressing room to celebrate with his players.
The club has paid tribute to Pacey, describing him as a 'pillar of strength' who had been instrumental in the team's growth and development.
As one of the founders of the club, Pacey had been instrumental in shaping the team's identity and had been a key figure in the club's success.
The club has sent out a statement expressing their shock and sadness at Pacey's untimely death.
"We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of one of our founding members, Jim Pacey, who died minutes after celebrating our team's win against Brigg Town Reserves," the statement read.
"He was a pillar of strength and a driving force behind our team's growth and development, and his passing leaves a huge void in our lives," the statement added.
As a coach, Pacey had been instrumental in developing young players, including his own son, who is also a member of the team.
The club has expressed their gratitude to Pacey for his dedication and hard work, and has vowed to continue his legacy.
