On August 28, 2019, former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo made a shocking revelation about the Tanga Tanga MPs.
According to Kabogo, he had personally witnessed Tanga Tanga MPs being given Sh50,000 each to make them follow DP William Ruto to a harambee.
Speaking on Kameme TV, Kabogo stated that the money was not the MPs' own, but was given to them to add to the DP's contribution.
“I have attended such harambees and I saw them being given 50,000 to add on to boss' harambee contribution. It is not their money. Ask yourself why they always give 50,000,” Kabogo said.
When asked by Kameme TV presenter Njogu Njoroge if he had ever attended a harambee with the DP in Kuresoi, Kabogo replied, “But I have money, I have my own money, my friend.”
