Manchester United's Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez is on the verge of joining Inter Milan on loan, according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, published on August 27, 2019.
The 30-year-old Sanchez has been a huge disappointment since joining United from Arsenal in January 2018 as part of a swap deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, scoring only three Premier League goals in 32 appearances.
Sanchez will link up with Belgium forward Romelu Lukaku, who left United for Inter earlier this month in a deal reportedly worth around 80 million euros (72.6 million pounds).
Before joining United, Sanchez made his name in Italy with Udinese, then moved to Barcelona and Arsenal, where he scored 80 goals in 166 appearances, winning the FA Cup in 2015 and 2017 after scoring in both finals.
