On August 28, 2019, former Transport Licensing Board (TLB) Chairman Hassan Ole Kamwaro passed away at the age of 75 after succumbing to throat cancer.

According to his family, Kamwaro died on Tuesday at 7PM at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma, USA, where he was receiving treatment.

He had been taken to the US in March this year for further treatment.

Kamwaro's marriage to a 23-year-old girl as his second wife, as per Maasai culture, left many Kenyans in shock.

During his tenure as TLB Chairman from 2010 to 2012, Kamwaro served the Transport Licensing Board.
