Kenya's U-15 national team is set to face off against Rwanda in the semi-finals of the Cecafa U-15 Challenge Cup, a tournament funded by FIFA as part of their technical assistance program.
Published on August 28, 2019, the semi-finals are scheduled to take place on Wednesday at the National Stadium in Asmara.
Kenya coach Sagar Lakhani has expressed his expectations for the game, stating that he expects a very tough game against Rwanda.
"I have had a chance of watching the Rwanda team (in action here) and I expect a very tough game," Lakhani said.
Kenya has had an impressive outing at the tournament, with wins over Somalia, Sudan, and Eritrea, as well as a draw against Burundi.
Team Kenya will be looking to their lead striker Kevin Wangaya, who has scored three times in four matches, and the returning Harel Gil, to provide the goals.
However, Rwanda's Eric Irahamye has been a force to be reckoned with, scoring four goals at the tournament.
Rwanda coach Yves Rwasamanzi has also expressed his team's strategy for the game, stating that they need to be at their best against Kenya and take their chances.
