According to Joyce, Waihiga was smitten when he saw her on the Rauka Show and decided to pursue her with all his might. However, she refused to give in to his desires, leaving him heartbroken.
Waihiga, determined to win her heart, saw his approaching birthday party as the perfect opportunity to invite her and her production crew. Although Joyce didn't attend his birthday, Waihiga didn't give up. He went on social media to declare his love, and this time, he was successful.
As Joyce recounted, 'Then my first song called Conquerer came out, and he started tweeting me publicly, 'my celebrity crush is Joyce Omondi.' After that, I just responded, then I invited him to my birthday party, he came, and that was the time we actually met.'
