On August 28, 2019, Nyakundi Report reported that NASA was investigating a possible crime committed in outer space.

Astronaut Anne McClain is accused of identity theft and improperly accessing her estranged wife's private financial records while on a six-month mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

According to The New York Times, McClain's spouse Summer Worden filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission after learning McClain had accessed her bank account without permission.

Worden's family also filed a complaint with NASA's Office of Inspector General, alleging that McClain had committed identity theft.

McClain's lawyer denied the allegations, stating that the astronaut had accessed the bank records to monitor their combined finances, a practice she had done throughout their relationship.

McClain returned to Earth in June and had gained fame for being one of two women picked for a historic all-female spacewalk.
