Gor Mahia FC has terminated the contract of striker Dennis Oliech, citing serious and persistent cases of misconduct, the club announced on August 27, 2019.

The club's decision comes after months of poor performance on the pitch and repeated absences from training without permission, according to a strongly worded statement on the club's official website.

As per the provisions of Clause 6 of Oliech's Player Agreement Contract, the club has terminated his contract with immediate effect, citing just cause as stipulated in FIFA Article 14 Regulations of the Statutes and Transfer of Players.

The grounds for termination include Oliech's repeated absences from training without reason or prior permission, his candidacy in popular political elections, and his social media posts indicating his political intentions while wearing the club's jersey.

The club has promised to settle Oliech's dues as per the terms of his contract.
