On August 26, 2019, a tragic incident occurred in Kaloleni, Kilifi County, involving television actor Davies Mwabili, popularly known as Inspekta Mwala.
According to Kilifi police commander Patrick Okeri, Mwabili was driving from Kaloleni town on Mazeras Highway when he hit a 35-year-old pedestrian who was crossing the road.
The pedestrian was killed instantly, and the body was taken to Coast General Hospital Mortuary in Mombasa.
Inspekta Mwala is currently out on police bail, and his vehicle is being detained at Kaloleni Police Station.
