Google has released its latest trends for April, revealing the most searched terms by Kenyans. The top spot went to Huduma Namba, a mass registration drive aimed at collecting biometric data for a central population database.

Launched to create the National Integrated Identity Management System (NIIMS), Huduma Namba has been a topic of interest for many Kenyans. The second most searched item was the death of American hip hop musician Nipsey Hussle, followed by the UEFA Europa League fixture between Napoli and Arsenal.

Kenya's gaming company Sportpesa's app and the fictional supervillain Thanos also made it to the top 10 list. Jonathan Moi, the first-born son of retired president Daniel Arap Moi, was sixth on the list, having passed away two weeks prior to the search.

Other trending items included the gruesome killing of Moi University student Ivy Wangechi, Cyclone Kenneth that wreaked havoc in Mozambique, and the terrorist bombing attacks in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday.

Interestingly, the Kakamega Twins, who were suspected to have been separated at birth and reunited 19 years later, also made it to the list.

On the 'How to' category, the most trending search was 'How to lose weight', followed by 'How to withdraw money from Sportpesa' and 'How to cook mandazi'. The intriguing 'How to join Illuminati' and 'How to book SGR' also made it to the list.
