On the back of a World Bank report highlighting Africa's potential for digital transformation, IWG plc has announced the expansion of its flexible office space franchise opportunity in Kenya.
According to the report, 'The Future of Work in Africa', released in August 2019, access to digital technologies could set Africa on a different path to the rest of the world. The report notes that digital transformation will predominantly enable advances in productivity and efficiency in current sectors.
Regus, an IWG plc company, has been a pioneer in the flexible working movement for over 30 years, growing to over 3,400 locations worldwide. Its proven business model has shown resilience through many economic cycles in Africa and globally.
By 2020, it is estimated that 50% of workers will work remotely most of the time, creating a dramatic shift in the way African populations work. By 2030, 30% of all commercial real estate is predicted to be flexible workspace.
IWG plc is aggressively moving to franchising in cities, urban centres, smaller feeder towns, and areas to cater for the huge demand. The Regus brand has become the go-to for entrepreneurs and large corporates trying to attract and retain talent.
