Six Premier League Players Who Could Still Move Before Transfer Deadline Day ¶
The European transfer deadline runs in most places until September 2, with several Premier League players potentially heading to the continent in the coming week.
While the Premier League transfer window closed before the start of the season, English clubs remain susceptible to offers from abroad.
Clubs can offload players they don't want, but it's also an issue for managers who want to keep certain players but may not be able to.
Here are six Premier League players who could still move before the European window closes:
Alexis Sanchez (Manchester United)
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has no place for the Chilean forward, who signed a £400,000-a-week contract in January 2018.
Sanchez has just five goals for the Red Devils since joining and is behind several other players in the pecking order.
United have been negotiating a loan deal with Inter Milan, but Sanchez's huge wages are an issue.
Shkodran Mustafi (Arsenal)
Arsenal manager Unai Emery has made clear that the German international is available for transfer.
Mustafi is behind several other players in the Arsenal defense and his agent has admitted it would be better for him to depart.
However, Arsenal need to recoup the majority of their £35million outlay, which could be a challenge.
Christian Eriksen (Tottenham)
Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen has made clear his desire to move on, with Real Madrid his preferred destination.
However, no offer has been forthcoming from the Spanish capital, and Eriksen's representatives remain unwilling to negotiate new terms at Spurs.
Atletico Madrid could make a late play, but if no move is forthcoming, it would be a major dent to Eriksen's ego.
Tiemoue Bakayoko (Chelsea)
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has no place for the French international, who cost £40million when joining from Monaco in 2017.
Bakayoko impressed in Italy last season but has since returned to Chelsea, where he is now surplus to requirements.
Monaco made a loan move, but it was blocked by Chelsea, who sought a more high-profile switch.
Serge Aurier (Tottenham)
Tottenham right-back Serge Aurier failed to push Kieran Trippier out of the side and is now third choice behind Kyle Walker-Peters and Juan Foyth.
AC Milan and PSG have both shown interest, and Pochettino is open to letting him leave if figures reach around £20million.
Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace)
Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha didn't get his move to Arsenal before the English window closed, but his future remains uncertain.
French giants Paris Saint-Germain have earmarked the Ivory Coast international as a potential replacement for Neymar, should the Brazilian get his wish and a move back to Barcelona.
