On August 26, 2019, a tragic incident occurred in Kaloleni, Kilifi County, involving popular actor and radio presenter Inspekta Mwala.
According to reports, Mwala was driving a Toyota Axio on Mazeras Highway when he hit a 35-year-old pedestrian who was crossing the road.
The pedestrian was killed instantly, and his body was taken to Coast General Hospital Mortuary in Mombasa for post-mortem.
Inspekta Mwala was arrested at the scene and later released on bail, but his vehicle remains in custody at Kaloleni Police Station.
Kilifi police commander Patrick Okeri confirmed the incident, stating that Mwala knocked down the pedestrian, killing him on the spot.
