Realme, a sub-brand of Oppo, has been making waves in the smartphone market with its affordable and feature-packed devices. The latest addition to their lineup is the Realme XT, which boasts the world's first 64MP camera.

According to a Weibo post by Realme's CMO, Xu Qi Chase, the Realme XT will feature a quad-camera setup, including a 64MP main sensor, an ultra-wide-angle camera, a depth sensor, and a macro shooter. The phone will also come with a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display and a 3D curved glass back.

The Realme XT is expected to be released in September or early October, with a price tag that should be competitive with other mid-range smartphones. However, it's worth noting that megapixels don't always translate to better photos, especially when software is used to compensate for lacking hardware.

Realme is not the only one racing to release a 64MP camera smartphone. Xiaomi's Redmi Note 8 Pro is also expected to feature the same high-resolution sensor, but it's unclear which phone will hit the markets first.
