On August 16, 2019, Peter J. Ng'ang'a took his car to D.T Dobie for servicing, but 11 days later, it was still at the garage with no communication from the car dealer.

Ng'ang'a, who confirmed to Citizen Digital that he authored the letter, stated that he had only been called back once by a representative from D.T Dobie.

He listed 11 significant events that occurred worldwide during the 11 days his car was at the garage, including the G7 summit in France, Amazon wildfires, and Trump's criticism of his Fed Reserve chairman.

Ng'ang'a's letter, addressed to D.T Dobie CEO Ian Middleton, read: 'They said they'll call back as soon as they find a service advisor to allocate the vehicle to. The U.S Open has begun. I still await. Census came; I declared I had only one wife. I still await.'

He signed off the letter urging the D.T Dobie boss to 'Help save a neglected vehicle' and that 'Yours [no longer] patiently.'
