On Monday night, a tragic incident occurred in Kaloleni, Kilifi County, involving television actor Davies Mwabili, popularly known as Inspekta Mwala.
According to Kilifi police commander Patrick Okeri, Mr. Mwabili was driving from Kaloleni town on Mazeras Highway when he hit a 35-year-old man who was crossing the road, resulting in the pedestrian's instant death.
The police boss confirmed that the actor is currently out on police bail, and the vehicle involved in the accident is being detained at Kaloleni Police Station.
The body of the pedestrian was taken to Coast General Hospital Mortuary in Mombasa for further processing.
