On August 27, 2019, StarTimes, a pan-African pay-television broadcaster, enhanced its over-the-top (OTT) business by introducing premium content to its users through its online video streaming service, StarTimes ON.

The service allows subscribers to access premium content on the go via 2G/3G or 4G networks or at daily, weekly, and monthly subscription fees of Ksh 30, Ksh 120, and Ksh 240, respectively.

Among the premium content available on the App include the new telenovela The Blood Sisters, the upcoming UEFA Europa League, and German top-tier soccer league, the Bundesliga.

Subscribers can also access Live TV, Video on Demand, and short videos covering various content genres, including reality TV, news, sports, movies, series, music, entertainment, documentary, kids, and religion.

StarTimes ON application is compatible with Android and iOS systems, available for download on Google Play and Apple App Store, featuring Standard Definition (SD), High Definition (HD), and Ultra High Definition (UHD) content.

StarTimes subscribers on terrestrial and satellite platforms can enjoy a 5% discount when paying their monthly subscription through the application, while also availing the flexibility to change their bouquets and review their payment history once they link their decoder to the application.
