On August 27, 2019, a video of Agriculture Minister Mwangi Kiunjuri dancing to the hit song Tetema went viral on social media.

The video, which was posted on Kiunjuri's Facebook page, showed him dancing with a young boy who was mimicking the dance moves of the song's artist, Diamond Platinumz.

However, the video did not go down well with some Kenyans who felt that Kiunjuri was setting a bad example by dancing to a song that was deemed to be 'dirty' by the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) led by Ezekiel Mutua.

Mutua had earlier banned the song Tetema and Wamlambez, citing its explicit content.

Some Kenyans took to social media to express their disappointment and disgust at Kiunjuri's actions, while others defended him, saying that he was simply trying to encourage young talent.

Kiunjuri had posted the video on his Facebook page, saying, 'If you are a young talent, believe in yourself.'

However, the controversy surrounding the video has sparked a debate on social media, with some people calling for Kiunjuri to apologize for his actions.
