Fuel Tanker Crash on Kenol-Sagana Road Leaves 5 Injured

Published on August 27, 2019, a petrol tanker lost control and hit other vehicles on the Kenol-Sagana road, injuring five people.

The incident occurred at 10pm on Monday at Kambiti Hill after the tanker rammed a Sagana-bound matatu from behind.

The 14-seater matatu then collided with a Canter truck heading to Sagana, causing two people on the matatu to sustain minor injuries and two others in the truck to suffer serious injuries.

They were rushed to Thika Level 5 Hospital for treatment.

The fuel tanker caught fire immediately after the accident.

Makuyu OCPD Dorothy Gitenga confirmed the accident, stating that the tanker's driver fled the scene but police are searching for him.
