On August 27, 2019, the Royal Family celebrated the wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry at Windsor Castle.

However, shortly after the wedding, the couple faced disappointment when the Queen rejected their request to live at Windsor Castle.

According to the Sunday Times, Meghan and Harry had initially set their hearts on Windsor Castle and asked the Queen if living quarters could be made available after their marriage.

But the Queen denied their request, citing that it might not have been 'entirely appropriate' for a young family to live there.

Instead, the Queen offered them Frogmore Cottage, which they have since spent £2.4 million of taxpayers' money refurbishing.

Designer Vicky Charles, who is behind the decor at Soho House, helped the couple turn the building into their dream home.

Their new home is equipped with the latest technology, allowing them to control many different things from their phones.

It's also reported that the couple had a £50,000 eco boiler installed, providing them with access to hot water at all times.

Frogmore Cottage is located just 200 meters from the Long Walk, which is open to the public, and security is funded by the taxpayer.

However, other entrances to the grounds are further from their new home, leading to fears that they could be easily accessed.
