On August 27th, 2019, Kisumu County Minister of Sports Achie Ojany Alai unveiled 13 new players signed by Kisumu All-Stars, the club with the most player signings ahead of their first Kenya Premier League campaign.
The lake-side club has been busy sharpening their skills ahead of the new season, with the signings including one goalkeeper, five defenders, five midfielders, and two strikers.
Notably, attacking midfielder Owira John Otieno joins the Blue Eagles from Sweden, where he was playing for Dalhem IF.
Other KPL clubs, including Tusker FC, AFC Leopards, Gor Mahia, and KCB, have also been active in the transfer window, signing new players in an effort to strip Gor Mahia of the title.
