Published on August 27, 2019, a report by global aviation intelligence provider ch-aviation revealed that Jambojet's fleet is the youngest in Africa.
With an average aircraft age of 4.3 years, Jambojet's fleet is significantly younger than the continent's average of 16 years, making it the oldest globally.
According to Jambojet's CEO, Allan Kilavuka, "This recognition is yet another validation of our commitment to keeping customer safety at the core of our business. We remain committed to matching our words with action which is why we made a business decision to only acquire brand new aircrafts."
On a global scale, Norwegian Air Sweden tops the list as the commercial carrier with the youngest fleet of aircraft.
"Our data clearly shows that Asian airlines continue to see tremendous growth, especially the low-cost carriers. This coupled with good access to capital for new aircraft leads to the youngest fleets being in this part of the world," said Thomas Jaeger, ch-aviation CEO.
