Google has officially confirmed that Android 10 will begin rolling out to Pixel phones on September 3rd, as revealed by PhoneArena in a recent update from Google Support.

This announcement comes as a surprise, given that new versions of Android typically roll out by now. However, it appears that Android 10 has been delayed, and this year Google is breaking with tradition by abandoning the practice of naming Android versions after desserts.

As a result, we can expect phones from manufacturers like Nokia and OnePlus to be among the first to receive the final version of Android 10, based on the usual release pattern.

Notably, HMD Global has already outlined a timeline for when Nokia phones will receive Android 10, with the Nokia 8.1 currently receiving the latest Android 10 Beta via an OTA update.

Meanwhile, Google's next phone, the Pixel 4, is expected to launch in October, with the company having already revealed its design and tech, including the Project Soli chip.
