On August 26, 2019, Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) put several abandoned planes up for auction at Wilson Airport in Nairobi, with prices ranging from Sh94,300 to Sh10 million.

Starehe Member of Parliament Charles Njagua, alias Jaguar, appears to have purchased one of these planes, with registration 5H-SKT, for Sh120,000.

According to KAA, the owners of the 15 planes had abandoned them at Wilson Airport and were selling them to recover unpaid parking fees.

The agency also cited safety concerns as a reason for the sale.

Interestingly, the plane bought by MP Jaguar had a reserve price of Sh120,000, which he met.
