Published on August 26, 2019, in Rabat, Morocco, Gilbert Kiprotich witnessed a dominant performance by the Malkia Strikers.

The team, coached by Bitok, secured a second consecutive win by defeating Senegal 3-0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-12) in the ongoing African Games at the Salle Bouaazaoui Indoor Arena.

This victory marked a significant milestone for the team, which had previously edged Cameroon 3-1 in their first match to finish top of Pool B.

Bitok made strategic changes to his starting lineup, introducing youngsters Sharon Chepchumba and Janet Wanja in place of Edith Wisa and Jane Wacu, respectively.

The Kenyan team demonstrated their superiority from the onset, comfortably sweeping the first set 25-11 as Senegal struggled to offer any significant resistance.

Although Senegal started brightly in the second set, they eventually faded off as Malkia Strikers took charge, with Chepchumba shining with her strong right-hand spikes that went unanswered.

Kenya and Cameroon will proceed to the last four from Pool B, where they will face the top two teams from Pool A in the semi-finals scheduled for Wednesday.
