On August 26, 2019, Chipukeezy released a statement alleging that EBRU TV had terminated his contract for invalid reasons.

According to Chipukeezy, Ebru management were unhappy with the direction his show was taking, which featured many young musicians and comedians.

Chipukeezy shared an email from Ebru TV, stating that they were concerned the show had become 'ghetto' and that they wanted to terminate his agreement with Kartelo.

Kartelo confirmed the statement, revealing that things had gotten worse to the point where he was being attacked by security guards at Ebru TV.

He shared a detailed account of the events, including being told to shut down upcoming and Gengetone artists, and being subjected to physical and verbal abuse.

Despite the challenges, Kartelo and Chipukeezy are positive about their next step, with the show set to continue on another platform.

As of now, Ebru TV has not responded to the accusations.
